So FH bought a charcoal suit (because he said, I get to choose my dress he gets to choose his suit, which is fine) and our colors are apple red, orange and gold.. my dress is light gold. (he is having his suit altered needs to be let out in the arms)
The girls are in apple red with black satin peep toe shoes and black cashmina wraps. the Groomsmen in my head are in black suits and I had visioned FH and the Groomsmen in black shirts. Well FH doesnt like black shirts he has decided.
So heres him in his suit? what color do you think is going to look best?
As you can see he is looking totally thrilled to have his photo taken by the way.

I’d go with light gold – I think the two of you will look great that way. Orange makes me think of Halloween and would be too much color with the red dresses. Red sounds like you wouldn’t stand out enough because he’d be so bright.

I like the light gold idea, like a more autumny yellow – or ivory. What color tie is he going to wear? If you have that color decided already, take the tie w/ you to look at shirts to see what looks nice with it.
Personally, I love a crisp white shirt. – the Groomsmen could still be in black shirts, and Fiance in the lighter color (to match you!) – especialy with all the other color you have going on, I’d keep his color toned down.

I agree, a light gold shirt (if you can find one.. do they make light gold shirts? Ivory maybe?) would look beautiful next to your dress.

we havent decided what tie for him till we decided on the shirt… I just never think about these things, i get all undecisive.
Light gold is good, but wether all groomsmen should be in light gold/ivory with Groomsmen red ties, and FH tie light gold?
That could work… :S decisions decisions!

I always love when the groom wears a white shirt/tie/vest. I think that since the bride is wearing white, it looks cute for the groom to wear white also & of course the pop of color for the groom could be added in the boot.
Match the boot up to the color of your shoes (if your wearing colored shoes) or the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses & I think its so cute!

I’d go with white or off-white shirt. I don’t think you necessarily have to go all match-y… unless you really like matchy. It just seems a little gimmicky to have his shirt perfectly match your dress. I mean, you want him to look good standing alone as well as beside you. Gold shirt, charcoal suit sounds like a prom outfit to me. Gold vest, bout, tie, pocket square, or tie clip might be a more classic way of matching his outfit to yours.

hmm. unless ‘light gold’ looks like offwhite. in which case, ignore my previous comments!

I agree with @gibsonkk and @annieAAA that a crisp white shirt always looks great! It would be pretty easy to incorporate gold in his accessories, as others have said.
