Awwww, that is so sweet that he really gets what it’s like for you.  I don’t have fibro but I have another one of those medical conditions that you can’t “see” what’s wrong with me.  A lot of people do not get it at all.  I love hearing how understanding your FH is.  He sounds like a keeper 🙂

That’s so sweet. I had a similar experience with my fiance lately. I have Lyme and since the cold started I have been having more issues. We are very lucky women…:)

I can relate to that – SO tells me all the time he wishes he could take my pain and sickness away, or have it instead of me. It makes me tear up :(. I got really sick about 2 years into being in a relationship with him, and it caused a lot of hardships between us for about a year, mainly because we were both young and didn’t really understand what was happening with me. I recently got diagnosed with a heart issue and MS.. most of the time I am confined to the house/couch/bed, and he’s been so supportive of me. We’re very lucky to have such supportive people in our lives 🙂

@goingtotherooftopoflove:

 I have fibromyalgia too, last night’s pain was so bad i had to take a vicodin to put me out of my misery :(.

I was kind of off at work today because of it and my boss asked what was wrong, (we are very close but i never talk about my fibro with them though, because i dont want it to be an “excuse”, they do know i have it). i started crying when she said she didnt know how i can suck it up everyday, that i am her superhero.  And that i CAN come in and say “fibro kicked my ass last night” and she will find a way to get me home to rest.  That support felt amazing.

hope you start feeling better soon, these weather changes are killing me and my current medication for it doesnt seem to be help much these days…

@goingtotherooftopoflove:  “i dont need people’s sympothy but a basic understanding that just cos i look fine doesn’t mean i am fine.”     I completely agree with this.  The reason i dont talk about my fibromyalgia to them is i dont want it to be an “excuse” (like some employees “colds”). But man  oh man when i tell you i am not doing well i am a level 9/10 extreme pain.  I dont even tell my husband when i am in pain unless i need major comforting and help.  I wont let fibromyalgia define who i am, but those days where it fights to define me, those days are tough.  And when my boss said that, it was one of the first times i felt like she understood, like really understood fibromyalgia.  I was so, (i cant even find a word of it… shocked, amazed, thankful… ) my eyes welded up with years.  Amazing.

my boss told me to keep her in the loop more about when i have bad days with fibromyalgia, i am stunned with the acceptance i felt today, i feel honored to have a boss like her.

(though i am stubburn and will still hide my fibro secret pain unless i really need to pull the Fibro Card).   i guess “the boy who cried wolf” really stuck with me as a kid
