- Wedding: March 2014
When I first thought about wedding planning, shoes were not up there on my list. I figured that I would pull out my trusty black low heels that I’ve had since senior prom (2008, so not that long ago) and wear those. I’ve never cared about shoes at all. As long as they were comfy and looked nice, that’s all I cared about. Then, something happened and I NEEDED perfect wedding shoes. I needed something that I could wear time and time again (I’ve never been the type for buy a pair of shoes for one event only). I started out getting an updated black heel. Ok, they were comfy and nice and I can wear them a thousand times after. Then I thought about how my heels would sound on the wood floor of the small chapel I’m getting married in; and I wanted color. So, I ordered two pairs of purple wedges. I even bumped up heel height to 4 inches! But quickly reminded myself I’ve never worn anything higher than 3 inches and ordered a 2 inch heel too. I love both of them. Then, I changed the wedding colors from purple to pink, so psh, I needed another pair of shoes. Cue Maid/Matron of Honor who had two Amazon gift cards that she’s never used and never going to use, and I just ordered a pair of low, pink wedges. I was glad for the gift cards, because I basically got a $50 pair of shoes for $6, and I still have one left to use.
I think I’ve found the perfect ones, though I may order myself another pair of cute flats that I’ve had my eyes on for months (can’t let the gift card go to waste you know). Of course, FH only sighs and shakes his head anytime the mail man leaves a package at the door.
I know I’m not the only one who went through more than one pair of shoes before deciding on “the” pair… So how many pairs did you go through before picking the perfect ones?
