    I need help. Yell

My FI and I are the same height (and we're not that tall.)

I want a pair of shoes that will look good on and good off (for those always-taken shoe photos). Every pair I've fallen in love with have had a good 3 inch heel on them.

I'm asking for 1.5in heels or less...is it even possible??

Ideally, they'd be a lil sexy, but it's hard to find "sex me" shoes when you're an inch off the floor. So I will settle for "cute" or "interesting."

Please let me know if you've seen any! Otherwise, my man will have to find some 3 inch lifts Tongue out (Actually, if you know of any good lifts for dudes, do tell!)

awww good luck! My guy is 1/2" shorter than me so I went with some very flat resort sandals. He actually went out and bought some dress shoes that had a thick sole in them--definitely think about buying his instead of tux shoes b/c tux shoes are SUPER thin. And painful

I don't know if you are one to spend $275 on shoes but here is a pair from Kate Spade:

I feel you on the height thing! Good luck! I'm just wearing flats... cute and comfy.

KeriC>> OMGosh! Those are SO cute! Love em. I think you might have just helped me find my shoes! :) Have you worn them for a long time? Are they still comfy? Wish they had it in RED, but the hot pink is way cool :)

are you open to other colors?  I wore some funky Biviel ballet flats, but now I can't find them, as it has been awhile (they were on sale)...here are some other ones from them on sale:

    http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=4016&vid=0&pid=685074&scid=685074002

Mine also had to be <2 inches, as my hubby is only 1 inch taller barefoot!  Luckily his tux shoes had some sole to them...for my getaway dress, I had mega heels, and he changed into cowboy boots....yeehaw!

oh, and what does your dress look like?  Here are some closed toe ones in white:

    http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=50546&vid=1&pid=689976&scid=689976002

    2" open toe http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=19831&vid=1&pid=674645&scid=674645002

2" closed toe, more than one neutral color

also, if you see a shoe that is a little too tall, you can get a shoe repair shop to chop it down, or better yet, be a 2 shoe bride!

cannotwait>> yes I LOVE color. Thanks for the links on the shoes. I've been Zappo-ing it up, but I will definitely look into Piperlime more - another bee also mentioned it.

    We have the same problem.

    I ordered these:

but might exchange them for these:

    Good luck!

I'm also finding some cut ones @ 2.25", but here are some shorter ones that come in a lot of colors, but are mary janes:

    http://www.zappos.com/gabriella-rocha-ginger-red-suede

I did a search on red, since you mentioned that, but don't forget you can embellish other ones if you think they are too plain!  Just use some old clip ons.

oh, and I forgot I found a ton on like.com  here is one it took me to that has neutrals, but the white is dyeable

    http://www.shoebuy.com/coloriffics-andie/186405/571247?cm_mmc=like-_-none-_-none-_-none

lots of other cute options that have small heels, rather than ballet flats, but I'd really try to figure out his shoes first if you can

and I feel your pain, as I caved and got ballet flats, but I also had a winter wedding, so it worked out, though I felt a little "squatty" in my posture!

eureka>> I love that you're going for the red patent leather look! The flats make the dress more cute and romantic, and the pointed heels will make the dress more trendy/fashionista-style. What are you going for?

cannotwait>> lol keep them coming! :) I actually really like the gabriella rocha shows and the 2nd coloriffics weren't bad too. Have you ever dyed any shoes? I wonder how it'll all come out...

@Phannie: Sorry I didn't respond sooner...  Thanks for sending the link to the blue flats. I wouldn't mind a rounded shoe (though I prefer pointy or square), but what I don't like about that one is the black piece on the back. Looks a little too sporty for a wedding.

I haven't decided whether I'm going with the flats or the pointy heels. I think I like them both the same in terms of looks. I would prefer the height of the taller ones, but I think these shoes are just a smidge too big for me, so unless I get something to put inside of them, they may come off, especially if I wear hose.

So, long story short: no, I haven't decided yet! Good thing I ordered them both from Zappos and don't have to rush to return them!

    Have you decided yet?

eureka>> oh good eye on the black detail in the back! Didn't even see that.

No, I haven't decided yet, but I just found a site that gives guys an "invisible lift" and the shoes look great. I'll probably start a new thread on that, b/c ppl might be interested. My FI wouldn't mind being a lil taller, cuz some of his groomsmen are over 6 ft!
