Hello, my fiancee bought my engagement ring from Jared’s, but never recieved a certification (GIA, IGI, whatever) on the center diamond. Now it’s after th 30-day return policy, and I’m really concerned… We’re taking it in to get appraised by an independant appraiser tomorrow, but is this normal from a chain like Jared’s? I feel like anywhere you buy an e-ring, they should sell you the certification that comes with the diamond. Any information would help.

Just have him contact the store. Jared keeps client records on all their sales. From there, it should be easy to locate the certification that comes with the diamond.

I really hope so! I’ve searched high and low to see if it’s normal for Jared’s to not give you the center diamond’s certification, and couldn’t find anything—just stuff on their lifetime warranty. It doesn’t seem right that they should sell e-rings without a certification. If they have them on record/on file, why not make a copy or include it with the sale?
