Typically FI is the big baby with sickness, but right now I have a sinus infection like no other! I just want to curl up in a ball and sleep for days. I know I’ll live, but what I wouldn’t do to not go to work tomorrow morning! lol

@lollygagon:  Mine! My DH claims he never gets sick and when he does, it’s like the end of the world. And it’s usually just a cold. Nothing serious. But he is definitely a baby when he gets sick.

@MrsN14:  I am the dramatic one … I always get sicker and stay sick longer than my FI. The last time he had the flu, he was miserable for 48 hours and had a light fever for 12 hours, then he got back on shape quickly. I kid you not, I spent the first 48hours lying in bed moaning out of discomfort and pain (muscular/bones, everything HURT SO BAD) with high fever that made me shiver, and it was even more painful in my insides. I felt terrible and like a whiny baby, but then I also got my period as if it wasn’t enough already. I had reasonssss to be fussy, lol. It took me over 10 days to recover. Yell

@lollygagon:  I had the same situation about 6 months ago!  We both had the same illness.  I sucked it up and only took one day off (every day I take off basically costs $50), and he was a whining, moping mess for well over a week.  Come on!

ETA: A big part of the problem is he just doesn’t know how to be sick;  instead of blowing his nose,  he’d sniff it in all day,  then wonder why he had a headache

Haha yes! He gets man colds and the world is ending. Followed closely by minor ‘majuries’ as I’ve coined them.

Though he’s right–if he were ever really sick or injured it would be NBD, but the minor stuff is sheesh, I’m the sickest boy that has ever been sick!

Hahaha I knew i’d love this thread just from the title, it’s so true! To be honest my FI is generally pretty good (i’m the one that is always sick!) but when he does get sick, he refuses to go to the dr or take anything for it, it frustrates me SO much!

I’m the big baby when it comes to being sick. I hate colds with a passion. I would rather spend 3 hours throwing up than spend 3 days with a stuffed up nose, for example. I would rather get stitches than get a cold. I hate, hate, hate congestion.

My ex was that way. I COULD NOT STAND IT. It became one of the things I hated most about him before breaking up with him 😛

@lollygagon:  Mine is the opposite. I wish he took being sick a little bit more serious. He has pneumonia, has a bad heart valve and other symptoms in relation to his problems. But yet he continues to work, long hours and travels for work and doesn’t rest. Constantly on the go and taking care of business. We are struggling a little, but I get so upset and scared that I would rather be struggling and him get better than him killing himself to get things done at the moment. But he is so stubborn and doesn’t listen. I tend to be mean to him at times because I care for his health and he doesn’t put his health first. But then I know he’s doing everything for us. I hate it!
