I’d definately go the route of telling him he is supposed to be the ‘man in waiting’, cleaning, preparing for your return with dinner and gifts.  Ha

I’d try it out!  That’s be an awesome thing to come home to.  Although he sounds like a hard sell, since he’s already assumed the tradition would be dumb!  Haha, my FI never even considered that he should do anything, so yours sounds more involved than mine!  During my shower he and his brother walked in, acted as if no one saw them and stole lots of food.  And for my bachelorette party, he just played video games all day and ignored lots of my texts lol.  Jeez.

Oh gosh ya! I’d say something like that you need a hot bath waiting for you since you’ll be tired from the weekend and as the groom it’s his job to make sure you’re well taken care of after the ladies have spoiled you all weekend. I like the hiding presents around the house thing. Or maybe say something about the symbolism about your girlfriends dropping you off and giving you to him, so he has to have dinner and an evening of pampering for you to prove he is a good provider and good at taking care of you…

You totally have to get your girls in on it though. I’d make the MOH come up and say a little speech and put your hand in his and give it a blessing or something ridiculous. It all has to be very solemn. LOL!

oh that is too good.. yea, your MOH totally has to give a speech and make a whole thing out of it.  that is so sweet that (although he called it dumb) he wanted to make sure that he is doing the right things!

It’s so funny that guys don’t “get” the traditions and think they’re dumb. I literally had to order FI that it’s tradition for us to exchange gifts on our wedding day. He just totally didn’t get it. His response “But I’m got you an engagement ring and I’m getting you a wedding band now, why do I have to get you anything else?!”. UGH! Jeez louise dude, just write me a little note that says how much you love me and how much you’re looking forward to seeing me in a few hours and freaking put a Mars bar in a box for all I care! Just do it! I’ve had his present sorted out for months now!!! LOL!

MAybe he meant for the bridal shower?  Some traditions have the fiance “surprise” the girl with flowers and says hello to all of the ladies at the shower!
