Purchased an all tulle dress, which is polar opposite of what I expected for me to choose. I love lace, and my fiance knows that, so after I had already bought my dress he had stated he would be disappointed if my dress had no lace on it. I am in love with my dress, but I also want him to be happy. Should I add a sash? Do you think he just said he would want lace because he knows I like it or because he really wants it. If you know any shops or anywhere online I could buy a sash/belt, please let me know!!

madilynnnne : you could also do a lace veil

If you love your dress I suspect he will too. Do you think a lace sash belt would compliment it? That’d be a nice compromise if you would like the look of it. There are a lot of places to consider buying your sash from. I have had decent luck with Amazon and local bridal shops as well as JJsHouse. Etsy is also another popular site. Only concern may be matching your dress color or getting a complimentary color you would like if you go online. If you are comfortable sharing a photo of your chosen dress may help you get some input from other bees.

Why is be so hung up on lace? He can wear some if he is so bothered about it
You wear the dress you love and feel good in

Probably a throw away- line. I wouldn’t attach too much importance to it but if you really want a clever way to incorproate some lace then consider having a pair of plain court shoes embellished with lace cut outs.

You could add a lace bolero.

I wouldn’t be worried about it. He should happy you got the dress that you loved.
I remember when I was indecisive trying on dresses and one of the ladies in the bridal shop told me to get the one I thought my future husband would like best. I accidentally pulled a massive WTF face!!!! I’m the one in the dress at the end of the day, and if I love it, he will love that I’m happy.

Eh, I think in the end he won’t care. Guys think they want one thing on a dress. He won’t even notice on your wedding day.
You do you girl!

He’s not going to be thinking about it one bit on your wedding day. Wear what you love, and don’t worry!

He probably remembered you saying that and he thinks this is what you’re getting. He will love whatever you wear!

Well, can your fiancé pull off lace? Not all men can, but he should wear what he loves!
You should also wear what you love.

madilynnnne : we’re gonna find a solution here. Want to post a pic of the gown? Right off the bat look for those lace heels they’re showing. Lazaro does pretty lace edging on the bottom of his tulle gowns. I tried on one that was to die for. Lace appliqués won’t be hard.

madilynnnne : actually why not buy two gowns? I fell in love with two gowns and bought them. Oops
