    My FI and I are really thinking about going to Fiji... though we know nothing about it other than its GORGEOUS there!!

    We would be going next September (which I hear is pretty good month) and I am assuming the tickets are pretty expensive... but any suggestions or advise would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    We wanted to do Fiji or Tahiti but it is so expensive! And I was like, well we arent paying for it, lets do it. But my conscience got the best of me... I did however make my fiance promise we would go there some time in the next few years.

    Other options you can look into that are similar are Samoa, Guam and the Philipines. Pacific islands are fantastic and the water is prettier and they are not as crowded/touristy as the Caribbean!

    Yes, I just realized how expensive it is in Fiji... ugh! I am the same way as you, even if it was paid for I would feel guilty. Now idk what I want to do! Thanks for the advise!

    My sister went to Fiji a few years ago and absolutely loved it. I'd love to hear from bees who are honeymooning there. I know the cost of tickets is high but I'm wondering how it is for hotels and food.

    @msrdsx82: If you want that atmosphere, there is obviously Hawaii, and then there is microensia, galapogas, easter island, New Zealand, etc. New Zealand and Australia were actually quite reasonable when I looked into them (but I'm spoiled when it comes to flying so I have to wait till we have neough miles to fly first) IDK how much the other smaller islands cost. I would imagine Guam is pretty reasonable, and Guamanians are the friendliest people ever.

    If you want to look into just beachy and tropical, I LOVE Puerto Rico and Barbados. Puerto Rico is nice because you don't have the additional international taxes so flights are cheaper, and Barbados (IMO) has the prettiest Caribbean water and the Malibu rum distillery

    @kellifromkeller:We were thinking about Maui... but we are going on our honeymoon during storm season so it limits where we can go! (unless we wait a few months on the honeymoon) but who really wants to do that?! :)

    @msrdsx82: I think you will encounter that anywhere in the Caribbean or the Pacific during that time. I highly recommend getting trip insurance just in case!

    even if it does storm (unfortunately we cant predict mother nature) it would be an adventure either way, and whats more romantic than looking out over the beach staying in bed all day listening to the rain? ;-) haha

    haha, we chose orlando bc A) I LOVE Disney and my FI has never been with me and B) We won't want to do too much through out the week bc I can all things Disney in 2 days, and my FI has no interest in anything else there. We both decided after a cruise back in December that we didn't want to do anything where we'd be too active and too tired.

    @kellifromkeller:

    I like Disney but we just went in July! So we def want a vacation that is relaxed on the beach! We dont want to tour anything, just be with each other.
