My ring has a lot of deco carving on it, and it's also hand made -
I specifically asked the jeweler if re-sizing would be a problem (i'm losing a lot of weight) and he said that most jewelers can find spaces in between the art work to resize so that the integrity or design of the ring isn't lost :) I think it's worth a try!

I need to get my ring sized down a 1/2 size - I'm worried about it because the band has filigree work around the entire band and both sides. I can't figure out how the jeweler would do this. Should I brace myself for a 'not possible' when I go in? The jeweler custom made the ring, so I suppose anything is possible - but I ABSOLUTELY hate the thought of my perfect ring being changed in any way ... but I don't think I can live with it being so loose.
Did anyone get their ring sized down that had a lot of antique looking filigree work on it??
