@smg5281:  We are still debating doing these things, but I always assumed the sponsors would just hold them, which is what I’ve seen done at Mexican weddings with similar “stuff”. Generally the coins are put in a small draw-string bag, but you could really put them in anything- a small basket, a box… think alternative ring-pillows and you run into lots of options.

@smg5281:  I’m thinking of having each of the groomsmen carry them in with him, then just have him keep it close by wherever he is sitting.  Our GMs and BMs are also our secondary sponsors, so he can just bring up the cord or veil when it’s time.

What kind of cord are you having?  I’ve been reading online and found out that they can be made of anything really…flowers, coins, etc.  I have only seen the silk cord version…I’m wondering if I can DIY something a little different.

We’re thinking about having our parents be our sponsors so at this point, we might just have them on the pews.

The best man carried the coins in his pocket before and after. My aunt and uncle were our veil and cord sponsors, so they held on to those before and after as well.
