Weddingbee boards

I will need to know by the end of the day WHO is coming please! 

1)because I need to reserve the right amount of table space for us at Murphy's and

2)because I need to let Paper Source know so they can kinda be ready. 

We are going to have a really great, laid back time and get to know some of our area bees!

I've got some great news!  We will have several demos on sunday and they're going to be expecting us Sunday!

Of COURSE you can come Chaotic Bliss!  My ring hasn't yet firmly planted on the left hand.  You'll be in fine company!!! The more the merrier!

Us southern belles will be ringing on sunday (esp. after one of their famous bloody marys) at brunch and cuttin up at Paper Source!!!!

OH how I wish I could be there! I have Monday and Tuesday off work but since I work Sunday... no dice! I could call in sick... hmmm...

Sigh. I ended up getting an informational interview on Tuesday morning. Which is exciting, but hampers my escape plans! If you could have a meetup Oct 23-28th, that would amaaaaaazing since that's the next time I come home!

Well thanks everybody and I hope as many bees can come (hoping for at least five since Paper Source is being so nice to us!)

And Space, girls planning weddings DO have to eat and 1 pm on sunday is a good time to do that..take an hour to meet up with us and then head back off to venues!

We're gonna have a blast!

Our next meetup will be sometime next year.  We don't do these often, and in fact I believe this is the VERY FIRST MEETUP FOR ATLANTA!

So it's an inaugural meet up!!! Woot woot!

Don't forget if you're coming, bring your ideas and if you have an amazing DIY project that our fellow bees might be able to use, print the instructions off and bring them along for everybody to enjoy!  We're here to help each other out!

Is it too late to come?  I don't check Weddingbee as often as I used to since I got married but my husband is out of town this weekend so I could use the entertainment!

Great, I'll be there!  Feel a little crazy for driving over from Alabama but I'm going stir crazy!  Maybe this has been asked before but I've never been to a Bee meetup, so how do we recognize eachother?

I'll tell the hostess at the restaurant that we're having a party and give her the name (atlanta bees) and she'll bring you to our table!

I'm off to run errands but to also make some calls and do some last minute stuff (reserve table at restaurant) and call Paper Source!

See you there at 1 pm tomorrow!  We're gonna have a bee party like Atlanta's never seen before!..Well ACTUALLY they've never seen this before because it's never happened before..IT'S THE FIRST!

Yeah, it's not exactly next door.  But husband out of town for 3+ weeks and only going to school = bored and sort of lonely!

Sorry girls, but I'm not going to be able to make it.  With the weather being iffy and my husband's truck is horrible in the rain, I'm too nervous to make the drive.  I will be there next time, I promise!  Just wanted to let you know, so you don't think I drove off a cliff or something!

Well we're going!  I'm sorry you can't make it but that was a valiant attempt to come all the way from Huntsville Alabama! (My sis lives about 30 miles away from you btw).

We're all headed down in a little bit to have some brunch and enjoy doing something for a change since we've had NOTHING BUT RAIN and it's either you decide to get yourself down to Murphy's for lunch ATL bees, or your next DIY project might be to consider building an ark!  Personally, I'd rather eat lunch, actually get outside my house for a bit (he he..been cocooning since we've had the rain-fest here)and set aside my ark-making for some amazing paper ideas from paper source!

I'm going to finish getting myself done and then I'm out the door in about 30 minutes!!!

ATLANTA BEE PARTY HERE WE COME! 

If I were driving my own car I wouldn't worry, but my husband's truck flips out when the roads are slightly damp (which is basically worthless lol).  I saw your message, thanks for the gesture.  I'm also worried about ruining another car since mine is in the shop and if I don't have the truck we have no car right now!

I hope you guys had fun. I've been sick for the past few days with something. I don't even know what it is. :(

It's my own fault for doing too much and not sleeping enough. lol

Well it was a small meetup but it was great!  Myself and the lovely and super-talented GGSB had an amazing brunch and then went to Paper Source.  She is pretty much a DIY diva so I had one or two quick demos  myself and am going to use the experience to create our Christmas cards this year!

I do know that GGSB is very knowledgeable and I bet in the near future I'll be asking her for advice on DIY'ing!  She seriously knows when to DIY and when to outsource a project!.  Plus I also really enjoyed seeing her beautiful wedding photos (my fave is the one of her the day after the wedding in the waterfall!)  She is one crafty bee and I wish I had her DIY talent!  Plus it was really fun getting to finally meet somebody I've been chatting here with for the last few months.  I think we've got a really sweet board! 

I'm sorry the weather was not in our favor either.  Oh well.  I guess I'll get back to my ark-building later today.  Again we do have a really great board with members who have alot of talent in planning and DIY'ing! 

I sure hope everybody had a good weekend, stayed out of the torrential downpours,  and 50ft I hope you feel better too!  sorry you were under the weather and make a quick recovery!

I'll post a pic that GGSB took of our spread at brunch a bit later in the day after work and boy scouts w/my son!  It was so yummy! 

Oh, I'm so jealous! I wish I could have been there. :( I'm still a sick puppy. There's some weird flu going around, where it's partially barfy and partially upper respitory. I just pray it's not that.

I'm glad you guys had fun! It sounds like a total blast.  I definitely want to see pics. :)

Sorry about not uploading the pic..I will tomorrow.  It's been a bit wild today and yesterday as my son was visiting the xh's house over the weekend and their street which borders on the lake here and is gravel WASHED AWAY...yep.

We were worried that there would be considerable flooding at their home and their backyard was about 3-4 feet underwater, but their home is up a teeny bit so it didn't seep in but the playground there was swept away.

I tried to drive over after work yesterday to pick him up and couldn't..it was literally a river and the whole road had vanished.  I was really scared but luckily everybody and their home is ok.  T has also a jeep with huge tires (for off roading) and we were totally prepared to go and get all of them even their pets last night as there was a chance they'd even have had to evacuate.  It was pretty wierd.  I've never seen (I work and commute between no. cumming and gainesville down a 2 lane highway) that road have so much water in it and all the sewers and drainage areas were just overflowing..so much water in the road.

Luckily it's ok now.  We're just getting back to normal tonight and relaxing and I'll upload tomorrow!  We had some good lookin' brunch items I might add!

Hey GGSB! Hope you're work thing is resolved!!!  Wishing you a happy Tuesday and all ATL bees a safe and happy week.  I hope everybody has been safe with all this craziness.

Our favorite restaurant (Canoe in Vinings) was way flooded when the Chattahoochee overflowed and it was in fact on Good Morning America today. That was one possibility for our local venue .  :(  I hope that restaurant and it's beautiful grounds recovers.  So sad.  And so sad about all the losses.
