we're running into the same dilemma and are are leaning towards aruba!
I just talked to a woman yesterday who said she went to Aruba and it made me want to change our alreaady made Jamaica plans!
We are getting married in May and are headed to the Divi Tamarijn in Aruba. We are so excited. My vote shouldn't really count since we've never been there, but lots of friends have been and said it is great. Everyone says the weather in Aruba is gauranteed to be perfect. Hot but with a constant breeze so you aren't suffering in humid air. Also, the beach at the Tamarijn is said to be the nicest and least crowded - double score! But again - I haven't been yet so hopefully you will get some responses from people who have already visited. Good luck! I keep thinking - 60 days to the wedding (scary) BUT 61 days until ARUBA (awesome)!!!!
Been to Aruba and it's amazing! Everyone is right about the weather being great and the water is so clear and warm! The only reason why we're not going is we wanted to try something new so we're doing Sandals St. Lucia! You'll have an amazing time no matter which you choose!
We're going to St. Lucia for our minimoon after the wedding (just us for 4 days next late fall or winter).
T has been to St. Lucia before and loves it! We'll most likely do Jalousie Plantation (now the Tides Resort Sugar Beach) and it's going to be amazing. You should see the pics of him there and all the amazing activities and the amazing restaurants!

@arubagirl wowwww! I have been to the caribbean before (St. Thomas, St. Maarten ...) and wow aruba looks even MORE blue!! Love it!!! Our wedding/honeymoon isn't until Nov 2011 but we were already trying to get honeymoon ideas..this is definitely in the lead now! What month were these photos taken?

Hi Girls,
Okay, so we have narrowed it down to two different places for our October Honeymoon. We have been very worried about hurricane season with the different islands, but both of these seem to be either out of the hurricane belt or far enough away.. Soo.. Our choices are The Coconut Bay Resort in St. Lucia or The Divi in Aruba!!! We are looking for fun, lots of bars and restaurants and of course, a great beach... :) So - what do you think?! Opinions?!?
