I bought my dream dress pre-owned for 55% off and it was fairly close to fitting. Alterations ended up being more than I expected ($400, ouch) and it still has to be steamed ($200, double ouch) but I’m really happy with how it turned out! I just had one fitting and then came back to try it on. It’s on the other side of the country so we had to strategize, my final fitting was 2 months before the wedding but my weight is very stable so it should still fit! It’s hard to see in the pictures, but I’m just wearing chandelier earrings and a bracelet, but no necklace. I had a statement necklace but everyone vetoed it, so oh well. Can’t wait to wear it in 28 days!!!

You look amazing!!! I can’t believe you’re getting charged $200 for steaming! That’s crazy!

@idoalterations: Yeah, the dress is very delicafe silk jacquard with lots of layers and folds…. and it’s southern California
