I had my final fitting a few days ago and just saw a photo and realized the skirt is a bit of a funny shape. It’s a bit of an A-line then kind of drops straight down at the bottom.
When I had my fitting, the crinoline, which I wore over a hoop, was falling down a bit (they’re going to tighten the elastic), so that might’ve caused this, but if not, I’m wondering if there’s anything I can/should do to fix it.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Looks to me like the problem is the hoop sits too high. Is it Possible to adjust the hoop so it’s closer to the ground? alternatively you could try a smaller hoop (this one seems like it might be too big for your petite figure).

carobinson: The slip you are wearing is not suitable for that dress.

Bearimbolo: Thanks for responding! I’ll ask about adjusting the hoop. I love the poof so I don’t necessarily want to make it smaller (plus that would make the dress too long for me) but if I could adjust the hoops, maybe that would help even it out. Great idea – thanks so much!

I do think it’s a very sudden drop. I agree it seems like the hoop is too high!

A full crinoline from David’s bridal (I have one unused) gives the full look without the hoop effect. Need a new slip.

Such a pretty dress!!! The hoop seems a little too big for the dress and also too high. I think you should let it fall more naturally. its going to be beautiful Either way!!

Thanks for all your comments! Unfortunately, I think I just have to live with it now. The wedding is next Saturday – eek!! I find wearing just the crinoline is really warm and if I do anything to adjust the fullness, it will make it too long. I checked with the shop and sadly the hoops aren’t adjustable so I can’t just move them. 🙁
Thanks again anyway!
