So I tried on my dress for the first time today and fell in love with it all over again:))) Below are the pictures of THREE VEILS that I really liked. Gotta pick one. Which one do you like best?
(and I promise this will be my last post on veils :-)
Cut edge or the birdcage! Not the one with the border.
P.S. Adore that dress. :)
I prefer the look of the birdcage with your dress. I am also right along with @scissors, I adore your dress too. Its beautiful
I voted birdcage. I feel like the others competed with the details on the top of the dress.
I voted for the bird cage veil. Looks really cute with the dress. 2nd would be the cut edge.
I love how the lines of the cut edge veil mirror the crumbcatcher detail on your dress. Also, I think the cut edge veil is really different
Loving the birdcage with your dress!!!! I also like the cut edge a lot, but not feeling the fingertip veil at all.
I think there's something about that picture that makes me love the cut edge veil even more than I did when I had it on. :-)
def birdcage or cut edge. you COULD do both....i did...hehe!
the cut edge makes you look very audrey hepburn-esque. i also love the birdcage one!
Well, I vote definately not the fingertip... I lean toward the cut edge most, but the birdcage is sweet too!
first or third... hmmm i dunno both look great?! i am going with the third one because it's so fun, different and classic (however doesn't really match your venue so you should go with the first :P)
I vote the cut edge OR the birdcage!!! I love them both with your dress but I LOVE how classic the cut edge looks on you and how it looks with your dress. I agree with IGGIES... very audrey hepburn-esque!!! I LOVE it!
Did you try a pencil edge single tier fingertip really sheer veil? The ribbon edge is too distracting (that's all I notice),the cut edge you tried looks too short and the color doesn't look right, and the birdcage would look better with no flowers.....sorry....veils can be pretty personal choices, but to me,none of those look quite right with your dress.
No, I didn't actually. And I now do feel like I should try more veils because I really didn't have too many choices there. I am kind of confused too because I went to the salon with my friend and we both loved the ribbon edge fingertip among all of them. But when I came home and looked at the pictures, I definitely love the shortcut edge more and yes, the fingertip looks really distracting. It looks so different than it did when I wore it at the salon. I am sooo confused.
I know it can be confusing, but there really are so many to choose from! I wouldn't rush as you have plenty of time. Your dress is gorgeous and what I would do is not wear anything to take away from it or change the focus, which really is YOU!
You'll find it. Have faith.
I like the birdcage with that dress. The cut edge is cute, too, though.
Hmmm. I think the best choice is the cut edge; however I think you can do better for such a beautiful dress. I have a similar dress style (Amsale Serena) and I'm going for a long simple cathedral veil.
I vote birdcage. I like leaving the strapless and back area bare with your dress because of the detailing/crumb-catcher.
I love the cutedge!
I'm much more of a fan of the birdcage with a dress with a more vintage feel.
BTW - LOVE your dress!
Thank you all for your opinions!!!
So I decided that I will keep looking but it seems like definitely a short, playful veil is the way to go with my dress. - I might even go for a bubble veil (like the one in the picture below), who knows:-)
I like the length of the fingertip without the edge! But don't want to make you add another choice so I think birdcage!
Your dress is gorgeous. Have you been able to find a bubble veil like the one you have pictured?
The last picture of you in the cut edge veil is adorable.
I love the birdcage...it is so sassy, like your dress! Love love love the top of your dress....
I like the birdcage too but I will probably wear a veil during the ceremony and then switch to a birdcage later.
@Cole B: Yeah, I actually did try on a bubble veil which I hadn't posted here before because I thought I wouldn't even consider it. But now I like how it looks in the pictures. Here it is:
How about an angel cut veil? Youor gown is geometric and rigid... I think you should stay away from a "round" (or puffy) veil.
I think for you and your dress the cut edge veil is the most flattering!
Cut edge or buble. I think I lik the cut edge better with your dress. I'm going with a bubble I think with mine and love them. I love birdcages, but I'm not really feeling with with your dress, and I think the flowers take too much from the dress.
Looking again... Cut edge. Def. the cut edge. It has the body and playfulness without taking away from you or the dress.
I voted birdcage. I think your dress is really modern and current in fashion and the birdcage is the finishing touch. Honestly I'm not a fan of either of the other two especially cut edge. You look beautiful and the veil just looks unfinished and the satin edge is just too much with how amazing your dress is. Birdcage all the way!
I love bubble veils!! I just purchased mine a couple of weeks ago. That said, the cut edge also looks really good. I don't think you could go wrong with either!
and ps... your dress is fabulous! :)
The cut edge is my favorite. I like the bubble too but personally I prefer the way the cut edge looks with your dress
