Haha, I did the same thing when I bought the Shred. The 8 lbs aren't that bad. I only had to modify two moves because of them on all three levels, and I still did the moves correctly, just dropped the weights. Good luck!
woo hoo! i love the shred! its a great way to get back into a workout regiment. you'll do great! enjoy!!
I love it!! For me, the weight training exercises are the best bc I usually get to the gym and don't know what to do/ don't want to look stupid :) I found level 1 to be a little easy and i moved to level 2 after a few workouts and it is kicking my butt!
Keep us up to date how it works out for you!
Today was my second day! I've been using soup cans until I can make it to our Target. Tried FI's 15 lb weights, I know I know, that was not happening.
I LOVE that it's only 20 mins.
I did it for 3 days and after the 1st day I couldn't even sit down to pee it was so painful!! I find that p90x is better cause it swicthes it up every day....plus the diet for p90x is easy to follow
@Esrockhold - LOL that is too funny....I used soup cans today also. Yesterday was my first day and I thought I might be able to get through it with a resistance band and then forgot to get weights when I was at walmart...ugh
I've been doing a combo of the 30 day shred and Jillian's other 2 DVDs for the past for months and have lost about 15 pounds and gained a lot of muscle. I'm doing 2 levels a day at this point and trying to eat healthier. However, I've found the important thing for me was to take it slow and incorporate it fully into my life routine. I want to keep the weight off and know that it's healthier to lose the weight slowly than all at once.
Anyway, she delivers results that's for sure! I use 3 or 5 pound weights so that I can put more energy into the moves, especially with doing two in a row. When I did her No More Trouble Zones (which is 45 minutes of mostly weights), she makes a comment that she uses (I can't remember if it was 3 or 5) pound weights so that she can work out for a longer amount of time. Good luck! The first few days can be painful but then your body adjusts :)
I finally used it for the first time today! Even though I had read how tough it was on the Bee, and FI had tried it once when I was out and said it was hard, I was still impressed by how tough it was! I'm not in great shape, but I do work out with a trainer twice a week and exercise on my own, so I thought I'd be fine. Actually, I think it was a tougher workout than what I do with my trainer!!! I'm excited! (And sore!

Satuirday was my first day on the shred and it kicked my butt! Was not as bad as I thought, but I did struggle. Especially, since I bought the 8lbs hand weights instead of listening to FI at Target and buying the 3 or 5 pounders!
I hope this works! I am continuing to workout at the gym and trying to watch my diet. Although yesterday I cheated!!
How's everyone else doing on the shred??? ANy tips to share?
