I don’t really have any advice for those cities, just wanted to say that sounds like it’ll be an awesome honeymoon!

lollygagon:  Awesome!  We’re you able to score some good plane deals?  I’m procrastinating about booking our flights to London because of the cost, any tips you have would be very appreciated!

Never been to Munich or Zurich, so I can’t advise there. But I loved Prague! We stayed in a hostel, so probably not the best for a honeymoon. You should definitely do one of the blacklight shows. Fun and a little sexy – great for a honeymoon! My husband and I took a really early morning walk across the Charles Bridge and it was beautiful and not crowded. We bought a set of crystal tumblers for some friends as a wedding present and, to this day, my husband complains that we didn’t buy a set for ourselves as well. Also, I don’t know if you drink wine, but I had one of my favorite bottles in Prague:

I have no advice but I hope others do–we’re flying in to Munich (spending three days there) and out of Zurich (just the night there). I can’t wait! We used miles to book our flights.

lollygagon:  I know we’re supposed to see the BMW factory in Munich, and do a bike tour (the Munich one specifically is supposed to be amazing). I think we’re going to Neuschwanstein one day, but I think maybe we’re spending the night down there? FI is planning most of the details, so I don’t remember all of it 🙂

It will be so cool to be there for Oktoberfest!

Munich’s a great city, I live about 40min away but lived directly in Munich for 8 years. Where to stay probably depends a bit on what you’re interested in doing while there. Are you interested in any day trips? There are so many gorgeous areas not far from Munich with beautiful lakes, mountains, etc. I haven’t beena  tourist in Munich for a looooong time, but some nice places you might want to check out are of course the downtown/old town area.. Marienplatz of course, and then maybe walk towards Odeonsplatz, through Hofgarten, go through the Englischergarten and have a beer or 2 at the Chinese Tower beer garden, maybe cut back out to Leopoldstr and enjoy one of the cafes there. Schloss Nymphenburg is also pretty nice..never been inside but the grounds are pretty. If you go to the BMW museum you can also take a walk around Olympiapark, maybe go to the top of the Olympic tower. Then maybe walk around schwabing a bit…its a pretty cool area of Munich.. lots of young people, cool little bars/cafes, boutique shops, etc. All depends on what you’re into 😀

Enjoy! I don’t really have much to contribute because I went to Munich and Prague about 10 years ago. I loved, loved Prague.  I stayed in an apartment in the new town just down from Prague Castle in a historic building on Nerunova (I think that’s the spelling) Street. There are just so many things to see and do!

When we were in Munich, we visited a number of King Ludwig’s castles outside of town and that was a lot of fun too.
