Sooo, after a huge fiasco in which the store we purchased my original diamond e-ring totally f*cked it up during a resize, I was able to return it and start looking all over again. After having the diamond on my hand, I actually reconsidered and realized that what I really wanted was a moissanite. Although I really do think diamonds are gorgeous, for me I felt weird carrying $3000+ on my hand! I was so worried about doing anything with my hands out of concern that I’d ruin the ring. I also decided that at this stage I’d rather use the extra money we’d save buy not buying a diamond on our wedding or honeymoon. AND, I also developed quite a liking to Moissies, thanks to the lovely ladies on this board.
So, last night was the night, and I finally chose my ring! I decided to go for something very petite and (what I think is) elegant, as I have very small hands and thin fingers (size 3.75). I am one of the few women out there who like the plain bands, so I ordered the set 🙂 I chose this beauty with a 6mm (.75 carat) stone in palladium:
The best part? The total set cost $985 *including* express shipping.
Can’t wait till it arrives!!!

Gorgeous! So classic, and the band detail around the gallery of the stone is a nice modern touch!

I looooove this ring!! Have you seen real photos of the ring? I got these of the BTD forum in the MoissaniteCo sub-forum, it’s a 6mm stone but I don’t know the ring size.
You’re a very lucky girl.

Thank you ladies so much! You are really affirming that this was a good choice for me 🙂 🙂 🙂
@Ms_Midori: I DID see that picture and it is one of the things that solidified it for me! hehe. I can’t handle her nails (WOW) but the ring is certainly just as pretty “IRL” as it is in the digital images 🙂 I’m really looking forward to seeing what it looks like on my hand. I purposefully went for a smaller stone because of my small ring size.
Will be sure to post pics when it arrives!
