I might include some red flower petals, and I am going to put clear glass/water beads in the bottom of the wine glasses to reflect the light more.

You could always add food coloring to the water to give it a hint of color.

I love this... We finished our centerpieces (which have wine bottle table numbers), but I'm looking for head table decor and this would really fit in!

Pretty and classic. I think the red petals will really be a nice finishing touch.

Thanks, everyone! I'll take more photos as I go. I haven't really found any other photos of centerpieces like this using wine glasses, so I'll supply them! lol :D

    I'm so excited!

I love this! :)  Beautiful!  Will there be other lighting at your event or is it largely candlelight?

I love it! I might have to borrow some of your ideas for my centerpieces.

I agree that maybe a hint of food coloring would be good or a few pieces of bead confetti on the mirror around the glasses would be nice. Other than that I think its classy but simple. Good job!

We did somethng similar for my daughter's wedding, but they came as a set in staggered sizes and were cracked glass. Have you let one of them burn for any length of time to make sure they don't break the glass? I was worried about it too, as the votives that came with them were pretty large. All was OK,tho, but you might want to try one out to make sure it will work for you.

@smyley:Those are beautiful! :) Yes, i did buy some floating candles and let them burn for hours, and they didn't crack. The glass really didn't get too hot. Plus, for the bigger glasses, I put more water in so the candle was higher up and away from the glass.
