That is exciting! I say go for it! Congrats and I hope everything turns out perfectly!
That's awesome! Congrats on your avviversary and your upcoming celebration!!
OMG your story is pretty much mine, if you change the ages to 19! We have also been married 5 years and are renewing our vows this August. Congratulations, I hope everything turns out exactly how you plan!
Thats so fantastic! very exciting for you to plan your first wedding! ha ha a little backwards but I can only assume perfect for the both of you!
Can't wait to see the dress!!
omg love the dress! Please tell me your hair will be down like the model??
Love is wonderful! You're not alone. Many long married women have fantastic vow renewals..Some quite elaborate.
I'd call it a vow renewal but definitely go all out! Btw, Glamourbride, I LOVE your gown..it's beautiful.
Can't wait to see your planning! This is gonna be great.
We were planning to renew our vows up until about 5 days ago! :) The expensive fantastic trip to Italy wooed me, so we're doing two weeks in Italy in September 2010, instead of our vow renewal. But, do what you want, it will be a blast!
t/j: Kate, you can always renew your vows in Italy...on a boat..or a gondola! That would be sooo romantic..a wedding party of 2!
I was thinking about how to phrase it...We're technically already married and had a wedding even if not formaly done with the party and family and friends. But we never actually did "the wedding" as other people would see it. It's all very confusing
Yes, pvaulter... my husband is begging me to keep my hair down...I just don't know if then you can see all the beading on the gown in the back and front it's all very detailed with the unique neckline....I have very long hair past the middle of my back. My hair also dosen't hold curl!! I was thinking a hairstyle kinda like the hair on the model in the lazaro gown i attached...what to do?
Thanks for all the enguragement and congrats you bees are the best!!
I am a big fan of hair down, likley because I keep my hair down 95% of the time. I do like the photo you just posted though. If your hair is super long, it might do it some good to have the top teased a little and pulled back, and just leave some of the bottom layers down. Have you tried any hairstyles yet?
I'm a believer in hair down too. Up is great, but down is different and would go so well with your dress...
Happy planning!
hair down would look great with the dress!
congrats--finally! :-)

My Husband and I have been married for 5 years. We eloped married in the courthouse, my father livid; my age 21. I always evisioned myself getting married in my thirties, it happpened obviously much sooner. Love obviously does not follow your timeline.
I told my family about our 5 year renewal, I got mixed reactions, my ex stepmother (my dad has been married 3 times) was very happy we were finally having the affair, my father was happy that I was happy, and my current stepmother was telling me it wasen't really necassary considering the economy and wishing she had the 30,40 grand her mom payed for her wedding now to handle certain financials. My brothers and sisters are exciting considering I'm the first to get married, and would like to be in the celebration.
My Husband...
wants it because I want it.. but if he had it his way.." we would go to jamaica elope and as he says spend all the money on us: roll around in it...go to europe buy expensive clothes" He alwys tries to bribe me with that one
We are doing something small about 50 people.. we are not social butterflies we mainly are always with each other and some close friends and family. I've come to the point that i really want it now it's been 5 years time to celebrate!!! Wish me luck on all the planning!
*btw I'm posting my dress make sure to check it out!
