Hi Bees-
As promised here are my Gocco'd invitation suite. My finace and I made every single piece, that meant buying giant cardstock from PaperSource and cutting and folding to make the pocketfolds, cutting all the textured ivory cardstock, printing each piece with our trusty Gocco, and tying each little bow. Whew, they were certainly a labor of love.
These pictures are my crappy attempt at photography, I will post better pics when my pro photog gets hers. Oh and sorry for the white blocks for privacy. :)
I'd be happy to answer any questions. Happy Gocco-ing.
Those are just fabulous! If you ever thought of changing careers-- you may have found your calling. People would pay big bucks for those beauties!
I looove the birds holding the scroll w/ your wedding date on it!
Those are AMAZING! You should be proud! I love the colors and the graphics---everything looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Those are particularly beautiful! You did an awesome job!
Those are beautiful! If you don't mind my asking, what font did you use on the envelopes? And is it the same font as you and your fiance's names on the invitation? Just beautiful!
Thank you everyone, you are all too sweet! I am soooo glad they are done and out the door.
@Caro0104 The font on the envelope is the same as on the invitation (good eye!) Which is Albemarle Swash, a free font I found thanks to WeddingBee. I created an Excel Spreadsheet with all the addresses and then created a mail merge for envelopes in Word and ran them right through the printer.
oOH...those are so pretty! I love the time & care you took on "presenting" your suite!
I would like to know what font you used for the body? It looks like a block font? Can we see a close up? I'm trying to find the perfect block (all caps) font for the body of my invites. Thanks!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! You knocked it out of the park!
those look wonderful! wow, i can't believe you guys make the pocketfolds. how many screens did you use for the invite? i was just wondering because the gray and pink leaves are so close together and i didn't know if gocco screens could be that precise (without the colors running together) or if you used 2 screens. would be great to know as it will definitely affect my design, and i've never used our gocco before. thank you!
@ Quiche-yes, that is bougainvillea sprinkled about. We have a GInormous bush outside our apartment, we have to cut it back every couple months!
@Gerbera: I attached a new close up of the block print font. The font on the main invite is a Photoshop print called Trajan Pro regular. But there is a free font which is almost identical called Optimus Princeps.
@lavenderpug: For the main invitation, I used 2 screens. It took me several passes through the gocco to get the main invitation. One pass for text and names and banner, one pass for the birds and date on the banner, one pass for the top pink flowers, one pass for the bottom pink flowers, one pass for the top gray leaves and one pass for the bottom gray leaves...all 140 of them. Whew. Our invitation was bigger then the Gocco screen which is only about 4x6 for my PG5.
Thank you all...so many bees, both bloggers and us Hive members have been an inspiration. You all helped me make these. :)
Absolutly beautiful! You did a great job! I'm wondering, how many screens did it take?
Those are gorgeous!! The hot pink really gives it quite a "pop", and every piece flows well together. You did a fabulous job.
@FMH: The entire suite took 5 screens. I needed two for the RSVP Postcard (front and back), mainly two for the invitations and a thrid with some details and the words on the invitation. (that doesnt count the screen that didnt birn properly thanks to a bad bulb.)
They're gorgeous! You're incredibly talented (and patient!). Definitely invites with "wow" factor.
They're lovely! I was thinking of using similar colors and was worried about the black pocketfold looking too somber - but you've totally proven those worries wrong!
Thanks! With the shortage of supplies, I feel like I haven't horded enough supplies, but it sounds like I have :)
Those are so cute! I love the color combo :)
These are amaaaazzing!!!! I bought a Gocco this year but I don't think I could ever product something like this!!!
These are absolutely gorgeous and I'm sure they took you forever to finish!! Thanks for sharing the fonts, I just downloaded the Optimus one and hopefully it will work with my suite.
Your invitations are simply stunning. I am drooling over them! I wish I ws more crafty, but I have not ben for several years and I don't know if my wedding is the time to start again. ??
A job more than well done!
Love these.... what is the other font you used (aside from Albemarle Swash)
I have been trying to find good fonts that look cohesive like that!
