First of all Congrats!!!!  Our wedding is for quite a bit more so most of the venues we’ve checked into are larger ones.  However, have lists and lists of venues in the area and would be happy to quick go through it and share some suggestions.  Are you looking for indoor or outdoor?  Any certain vision or any particular area you want i.e. close to Portland?

Okay, well just to warn you June weather in Portland is a 50/50 shot for rain.  In Portland, or at least very close here are a few other venue ideas too:

Lan Su Garden – Absolutely beautiful.  It was one of my favorites but we have too many guests.  They have some areas that are covered a little in case you get a bit of rain or drizzle.  I think they do have some limitations on alcohol.

Hotel DeLuxe – They will allow you to get married on the roof during certain seasons

Edgefield – Kennedy School

As far as a reception dinner are  you looking for some place for a nice quiet dinner, or are you planning on the whole dinner and dancing and cake cutting and dj kind of venue?

Lan Su Gardens is great.  Also the Japanese Gardens up near the zoo.

I agree with all the posts above. For a nice ceremony/reception combo try Leach Botanical Gardens. (outdoor and indoor venue)

What sort of dinner venue are you looking for? (Atmosphere, kind of food, etc)?
