I posted on this board before (several months ago) about having anxiety issues. I am finally feeling that I really need to seek help. I have become increasingly controlling and pushy , I have too many worries to count, and I had a fairly traumatic adolescence. I do not want to end up like my family (parents are alcoholics, brothers are in and out of jail) when I could have taken steps to better my health. So, bees. I just need some cheering on. I’m hoping to get an appointment at my university’s counseling center this coming week.

@MissPatience: Good for you for taking control of your health!! You are definitely doing the right thing. This is a good first step, and you are going to feel so much better once you start a treatment.

Good for you! I have so many students who could really benefit from our school’s counseling, but few make use of it. It’s very smart of you to take charge of this and use that resource.
