    Hello Fellow Bees!

This is my first time posting. Usually I just lurk in the background to read the posts, but I'm so excited! I just got my dress! It costs an arm and a leg, but I absolutely love it. I've been looking for 6 months now and this was one of the first dresses that I tried on and I haven't been able to get it off my mind!

Initially I was thinking of doing a side bun/ponytail thing with a flower on the side, but my mom really wants me to wear a veil, but I'm not sure what kind of veil would go with this sort of dress. You guys go any ideas or advice?

Here's a pic of the dress.

I heart your dress! So hot! I'd still wear the side bun or pony, you should rock the birdcage veil because it won't look out of place. Your dress is pretty modern and classy, a regular veil, to me would look dated.

    Good Luck, and beautiful dress!

OMG.  Ok first of all, I am in love with your dress.  It's making me very jealous actually! haha.  I'm not sure what kind of veil would look best (i'm still trying to figure out what veil looks best with my dress haha) but I'm pretty sure I'm doing the side ponytail w/ the flower, plus the veil.  Then taking the veil off for the reception and just having the flower in.  I don't have any pics to post of it, but I've seen tons and the flower and veil look great together!

I love your dress!  I'm no help with veil advice - I'm still trying to figure that out myself.

I do love the side bun with a flower look.

Thanks for the advice guys! I do love the birdcage look. Just wasn't sure if it would go with the dress.

PS. Wedding Bee is the best. It's so exciting reading everyone's good ideas. When I first found out about this place, I had to check the website like 10 times a day! It's so addictive!

and yes i agree with you, i'm new on here too and it's extremely addictive, i think it's even better than facebook!!! lol

@corrc: my first reaction was "its hot" too lol

It's a beautiful gown!! I think a cathedral veil would look the best though. It's such a stunner of a dress & I think a long veil would compliment it really well :)

A side chignon with a birdcage would be amazing with that dress. Great dress! So pretty.

Your dress is absolutely beautiful! Love it!

I agree with other posters that any veil will look graet with this dress - but if you want the side pony/flower hairstyle, I vote for the birdcage.

I'm not sure about the veil, I'm sure many styles will work, but I gotta say that dress is gorgeous!

I love love love your dress!!! You made a GREAT choice! As far as the veil, I would suggest a finger-tip length veil so that you won't cover up the bow in the back of the gown. I would lean toward something more simple too. :)

    Your dress is stunning!

I'm a personal fan of cathedral length veils if you're getting married in a church and I think your dress would be perfect with one. You could still do the flower in the hair with the bun/ponytail under or next to the veil. You could take the veil off for the reception and then you'd still have the flower.

Here are two lovely pics I found with veil and flower:

Gorgeous dress by the way!! I LOVE it! I think a mantilla veil would look great with that gown! It is a simplier gown as in not a ton of beading so having the lace trim would look beautiful!

    Good Luck!
