Weddingbee boards

So I saw this 2011 Amalia Carrara dress in Brides magazine and could not wait to see what it looked like in person and share it with you Bees. I was so excited when she called and told me it was in. I finally got a chance to try it on today. Here is a pic of the dress. Only thing is, it ONLY comes in ivory and I wanted white!! The feathers are also really delicate. The dress however is BEAUTIFUL!! Here is the pic.

On a side note, I sent my grandmother and aunt th model pic and they both say they didn't like it. Grandma claims it looks silly. My mom and sister LOVE it. Aunt thinks the Lazaro 3804 is a better dress. When I tried on the dress all the other brides stopped to tell me they loved it!!! Right now, I am pondering on it. I still think it is beautiful and would wear it lined so it is not see through. :)

That is a gorgeous dress!  I feel the same way about white vs. ivory though....How does it look on you compared to the Lazaro?

I love it! I also think that ivory will make the details look much better, I feel like white dresses are a bit too harsh and if there is lace details and such, it looks way better in ivory.

engoala I sent her a pic of the model in the dress. :) I have a pic of me in it, but I am so reluctant to post it. Would hate to hear someone say they HATE IT or something. lol I didn't like the sash.

MissMedic This dress is so different from the Lazaro. This one is unique, but the beading on the Lazaro is Amazing.

My sister says It is definitley a love it or hate it dress. lol I just had to sleep on it first.

@meliss: Ahhh!!! :) You helped me a lot. lol I didn't see the other post. I have been going over it in my head! Should I, or shouldn't I!!! I photoshopped the sash to the hip because I didn't like where it is placed. The salon is going to give me a deal on the dress because I put down on the other Eve of Milady sample I previously cancelled and she is allowing me to use my previous downpayment, so it all worked out!! :) 

Another positive thing is, my mom finally loves a dress I picked. I was about to just go back and do the safe thing and order3804. Meliss, we think alike, and I totally had dress envy for your dress!!! lol Just another reason why you can't leave the Bee boards. :)

FutureMrsMcDermott and my other Bee friends: I have a pic of me in it, but it was taken with the cell phone camera my sister took and doesn't do it justice. I will take a pic when I go back to get sized and purchase!!

Thank You guys so much for your positive support. I swear, Grandma and others had me really terrified to purchase. But then again, I finally learned in all this, it is not about pleasing everyone else. Finally!! :)

@Heatherloveskenny: You know I saw my Bee buddy saying the same thing about another dress. What is your theme? You have the purse I have been dying to order ever since i began wedding planning as your profile pic.

I forgot that I have a pic of it on the mannequin that I took with my cell. It will give you an idea of how it fits.

I got married earlier than expected (August 6) Yay!!! and I had ordered the dress for October, but it was ready in December. Now the dress is in and I have a chance to cancel the sale by the end of the month where I won't owe the rest of my deposit. Not sure if I should go through all the hassle of trying to sell the dress to get some of my deposit back. Now that I don't need it. Husband says just to count it as a loss, but I put it up on line and decided to see if anyone was interested. If you know of anyone looking, please let me know.
