@solidarity:  yay, this is so exciting! I am not looking forward to job searching after I graduate. I have a part time retail job now that could easily turn into part time management (around 20-30 hours a week), but that’s not what I want to do with the rest of my life. Eventually I’ll have to find a big girl job, and I’m terrified. I think I’m mostly terrified because I’m not super worried about it, because I feel like I’ll find a job. But… what if I don’t?! It’s not like I have an art degree (no offense to anyone who does… I wish I had one, that’s awesome), but everyone still has me worried.

… whoa, thanks for letting me vent, haha.

@solidarity:  bah, that got me teary-eyed… thank you! My boyfriend is very supportive of me, and whenever I bring up my concerns, he always says that I’ll be fine, and we’ll be fine, and he’d never let anything happen to me. He’s convinced I’m going to find a good job, haha. My friends and family believe in me, but my entire family was a little worried when I changed my major. I used to be studying molecular and microbiology, but when I stopped that, my dad said he was worried about me finding a job. He’s acting like we’re still in a recession… hello dad, that ended in 2009!

@solidarity:  Technically the recession ended in 2009, but I agree that we’re still feeling the effects. However, it’s nowhere near as bad as before. The job market in Orlando isn’t TOO bad, but it’s pretty bad in other places. My major is Economics, and I haven’t done any internships. Instead, I have a part time job. It’s only in retail, but I don’t know what I want to do, so I haven’t really gotten a roll on the internships thing. I still have some time, but honestly, between classes and work, I don’t have much time. It’s not as if I don’t have any experience, like I said, I have a job. I’ll probably end up applying to places such as banks, or some of the theme parks… I’m not sure. we’ll see.

@solidarity:  I’m just afraid to give up my retail position because I’m next in line to get promoted to a management position. That’s a guaranteed job that I’ll have when I graduate, haha.
