That dress is so gorgeous and looks stunning! I can only imagine how amazing it will look when it fits! I am happy that it worked out for you to order a dress "blind" :) I wish I could do something like that.

Beautiful - it still has a great shape and structure to it, despite being too big now; your seamstress won't have trouble making it fit like a glove.
It looks lovely on you! And I'm glad to hear your seamstress thought it wouldn't be a problem to take it in that much...I am worried about that myself.
I didn't like it on the model, but damn, it looks good on you. It's a very unique dress without being over the top. And, by the way, you look great already. Don't get too skinny, because you'll lose those curves!

Hey bees! I finally got to try on my dres for the first time EVER! =D For those of you who didn't know, I ordered my dress off a picture that I saw in a designer book! I called everyone here and nobody had it so I never got to see it in person or try it on before I ordered it! Needless to say I've been super anxious for it to get here and yesterday I finally got to try it on! I love it! Here are the model pics:

So then I tried it on... Since I was measured to order the dress, I've lost 20lbs so it was HUGE on me! :( I was actually dreading that would happen. I thought it would be loose, but I was swiming in it... You can see that even though they laced it all the way closed, it was still falling right off me.
Oh well... The seamstress was pretty confident she could fix it and get it perfect. Right now she can easily take in 2" on each side. I still want to loose about 15-20 more lbs, so we agreed I'd return in a month and begin the alterations. Then 2 weeks before the wedding, we would do the final alterations. I suspect she's going to have to take in 3-4" on each side by the time we're done with it. I hope it turns out like I'm envisioning. I'm nervous...
