Nearly four months later, we finally got our pro pics. I am so psyched! Enjoy the way-too-many pictures. Now I understand how hard it is to cull them! All pictures are courtesy of Serge Gree Photography.
The church before everyone’s arrival.
The boys getting ready.
The girls getting ready–those real buttons take forever!
My husband waiting for me to walk down the aisle.
Walking down with my dad. The processional was “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” (The church’s organ is wonderful).
The ceremony and exchange of rings. We had 2 readings–one from Song of Solomon and one from a letter from John Keats to Fanny Brawne. We also sang a hymn (St. Francis of Assisi’s “Lord Make us Servants of Your Peace”). I am Episcopalian and my husband is an atheist, so we both felt represented.
We hadn’t planned it, but there was an impromptu receiving line and I am so glad we did it. It was SO nice to talk to everyone at that elated moment!
My favorite bridal shot, to be a little vain.
My lovely bridesmaids with mismatched dresses!
One pic of us I just adore. Recognize this place?
.Our reception was very casual. We had a first dance to Janet Devlin’s cover of “Your Song” and then I was crowned with the family tartan. We had a little dancing, but mostly a lot of eating and talking. And we also had a visit from a shark! All in all a wonderful day!

You look stunning and, mildly inappropriate, your husband is hot! Seriously georgous wedding. I wanted ‘Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring’ but was told it was associated with funerals for a lot of people. Jealous! I wish i’d gone for a black dress too. Yours is perfection!

Karenina: oh it all looks gorgeous and so elegant. The hall you got married in is spectacular! I love your veil, and your dress is obviously stunning.
You’ve probably been asked this so many times, so I understand if you don’t want to answer, but what made you go for a black dress? You look gorgeous and it’s all beautiful, I’m just curious as it’s so different from the most prevalent wedding aesthetic, so I can imagine it was a decision that was met with a few raised eyebrows, and sourcing your dress must have been a bit more difficult?
