Pretty even across the board, except for gifts. Very reflective of what I actually do and love in real life.
I LOVE that book! I read it in spring 2006... Back then I was tied for Physical Touch and Quality Time. I think the change is that now my FI is so NOT physical touch that it's more evident in my life how much it's important to me.

I am glad we did this as it initiated a conversation about it and I really didn't know that my acts of service were how he felt loved. Other than that we are fairly balanced and he knows my need for physical touch as I am very verbal about it!

It really opened up convo with my FI and I.. He was supprised that gifts were my #1. .. For me - I feel loved when he is out shopping and picks out something he thinks I will like. It is not about the stuff but the thought behind it :)
On his Gifts were at the bottom. So it was hard for him to understand why I feel loved when I get gifts.

I already knew Service was probably my big one but I think the Gifts and Words have shifted. My husband is very good at Words and so I don't crave it and we're on a tight budget so random gifts are few and far between. I was surprised that Touch ranked higher than Time but maybe I shouldn't be.

Very good for me...the hardest thing is that my FI is not a physical touch guy and he is not big on telling me how he feels, how I look, little words that can make a girls day better. We don't fight, but sometimes I feel like I have to compromise to his love language moreso than he does to mine.

I'm not surprised about the order at all. Acts of service is definitely how I perceive love. I would rather my guy take out the trash unexpectedly than buy me roses... it is the little things that count imo! (Probably especially bc between the two of us, I am definitely the cheap one). I will have to have FI take this later, but I would bet physical touch is his #1... he is a super touchy guy and i am not at all!
