bhldn.com

or dessy.com take a look at the bridesmaid dresses in ivory or white. Some of the full length ones are really nice.

I am also a non-bridey dress girl.  I looked at lots from Ann Taylor, Nordstroms and Macy’s.  They have free shipping both ways if you order enough stuff, so I just ordered a ton and tried them on at home.

Also, the bridesmaid dress idea isn’t bad either.  I also tried on tons of BM dresses before settling on one from Alfred Angelo’s Little White Dress collection.  You might have a better chance of finding one that’s more simple if you look at those types of collections.  I know lots of designers are going the Little White Dress route.

Also–look at ones labeled Reception Dresses.  Lots of cute non-bridey/poofy options out there!!

Oh-and post pictures when you’ve found your beauty 🙂
