I got married on the beach and found my dress at Nordstrom.  I would look outside of bridal salons to find light, airy, and more beachy dresses.

@RyuKokoro:  I’m all for wearing what your LOVE regardless of where you get married! I wore a satin dress for my DW and had no regrrets!

I don’t think that dress would be too difficult to wear. I know there was a bride who wore the divina dress( very similar style to yours above) on the beach a while back for a DW and it was stunning!

Just to give you an idea. I think the flowy skirt and material is very suiting for the beach due to the flowy skirt!

@RyuKokoro:  I just looked back and saw you are getting married in St Thomas! We had our DW there….where in St Thomas are you getting married?

@RyuKokoro:  Well St Thomas is beautiful so you really can’t go wrong with whatever you choose! I love the dress you posted above and I think it would look great on the beach….good luck with whatever you decide!

That dress doesn’t really scream “beach” to me.  If you have found less heavy dresses, you could always bling them up with statement jewelry or a fabulous belt.

I totally agree with weddingbound – another vote here for wearing what you love on your wedding day, no matter your venue.  That being said, I really think that dress you posted and love would be fantastic for a beach wedding!
