Does your family attend a church at all?  We are using the minister from the church I went to when I was little.  I haven’t been in probably 10 years but he knows my Nana and has visited her in the hospital.

This is a tough one. My FI and I are church “shopping” now as well. We’re getting married in his hometown, and his family isn’t churchgoing. It’s been kind of fun going to different churches, but I’m finding I’m surprisingly picky about the officiant. Who knows…we may end up going the JOP route or finding an officiant online. Not my preferred method, though.

I wish I had some advice for you, but maybe just try to get to some services at different churches if you have some Sunday mornings free.

What I did was google “justice of the peace” & the city I am getting married in. You will end up seeing a few websites pop up that you can browse. I unfortunately can’t remember the names of any of them other than weddingwire.

Looking in the phone book is not so bad because no matter what youre going to want to speak with and maybe meet with them before hand if you can. You can also sometimes google reviews. Alot of JP’s do religious ceremonies also.
