I hear you! I wanted to find something pretty and modest as one of my bms is 17, and the one is VERY well endowed.

We ended up going with this dress from davids bridal and it was beautiful on both of my girls [one who is really thin, and the other who is bigger].

They both loved the dress.

Depending on HOW conservative you’re looking for, and if you’re okay with online,  lots of LDS dress makers are sometimes worth looking at. Some are frumpy but lots are trendy dresses with sleeves and higher necklines.

Oops I missed the “long” part. Here’s a cap-sleeve long dress from Mori Lee that comes in ‘wine’. http://www.morilee.com/bridesmaids/bridesmaids/691

Alfred Sung makes a short-sleeve long dress that is really nice looking http://www.bridesmaids.com/alfredsung501.html

After Six has some nice ones too

AinLA:  Don’t limit yourslef to “bridesmaid” dresses. Use a site like Shopstyle to search “long red dresses”.

Daintyjewells.com has several great options,  all are modest (the owner comes from a conservative background). She may be able to do special orders too for specific colors.

AinLA:  One of my bridesmaids needed to be able to cover her garments… these were the ones we were choosing between:

http://www.sophiesgownshoppe.com/espresso-401/81ww7w85w514  (the v can be brought up higher)

http://www.lightinthebox.com/Sheath–Column-V-neck-Floor-length-Chiffon-Matte-Satin-Mother-of-the-Bride-Dress_p51978.html (We did find a lot more that would work in the MOB section.) On this site, in particular, they had a huge selection of more modest but still beautiful full length gowns.

We ended up with these

the sash is being altered into a little flutter sleeve and the front/back could be built up if needed, but we found once she had it on that it was much higher than it looked on the model.  It is a gorgeous dress (they’re wearing claret, they tried on the dark purple in store).  I have 5 bridesmaids who range from a size 8 and 6′ to a size 18 at 5’9, a size 6 at 5’2 and a size 14 at 5’2 (the fifth is a 13 year old!)  And this is the only dress that flattered everyone.

David’s bridal has quite a few options in a few different shades of red. I suggest checking them out.
