I have a question for all the bees who want to know the gender of their babies before the baby is born. Some people don’t want to know until the baby is born so this question won’t apply. For everyone who does like to know, do you ever try any old wives tales? And, if so, have they been sucessful?
When I was pregnant with my little girl I tried some of these methods. Just for fun. I had nine different methods and the results were: Three said I was having girl; three said I was having a boy and three were inconclusive. So, no help at all! But I’d already been told the gender anyway so I was just doing it for fun.

When I did, I ended up getting all of the wives’ tales saying I was having a girl, and lo and behold – a girl was born. Although I wasn’t ready to have a girl first, we love her to pieces.

I tried the wedding ring test and it said boy, which turned out to be correct, but I suppose it was a 50-50 chance.

All the wives tales said boy. I had a girl 🙂

My best friend married into a Greek family. Some of the bitchy girls in the community told her that she was having a girl because she was uglier than usual. (Greeks say that when a mother is having a girl, she steals her mothers beauty while in the womb). We laughed about it BUT she ended up delivering a little girl! Lol

I am a Sonographer(ultrasound tech) and I have found that all the wives tales out there about gender are very inaccurate, lol. Although they are fun! I don’t have kids yet, but when we do, I will be trying them all just for fun 🙂

A lot of the old wives tales and the Chinese calendar thing were accurate for me, but I don’t put any stock in them. The sonographer predicted girl at our 12 weeks scan based on nub theory and she was correct.
