- Wedding: August 2010
Here’s the background: FH and I are both athiests. We both completely respect that everyone has his/her own beleifs, but for our wedding, we want to make sure that we find an officiant that really, has no religious affiliation. We want to be true to ourselves, and we won’t compromise on this issue. What I mean by that is, we’ve been looking into officitants, but even those who claim to be non-religous, or non-denominational or civil, have titles like reverend or pastor…uhhh, that doesn’t really seem consistent to me. I know we can have a friend get certified or whatever, but we are already having a small wedding and I don’t want to place that burden on anyone. I also know we can find a judge, probelm is, it’s not like judges advertize about their side-jobs. Hence my dilemma. Any advice?
