In store. I went to a local store that mostly sells grad dresses to get an idea of what I wanted and what looked good. They had a few in white, and the first one I picked was just absolutely gorgeous! I actually had tried on a similar dress when I was shopping for a grad dress, and loved it.

When I tried on my dress I thought it was beutiful, but I really wanted a big ball gown and it wasn’t enough. As soon as they put hoops under it it was perfect though. I couldn’t stop staring at it in the mirror! I called my mom to tell her I had found the dress.

Best part is, it was only $400!

@melissa.geary.313: I found mine on-line. Had gone with my best friend trying on dresses for her wedding, got back to hers and googled the designer, flicked through the dresses and there was mine it was instant love. When it came to my turn I tried on others but nothing came close, the third shop I got to try on my first love and it felt so right.

@melissa.geary.313:  I found mine in the Weddingbee classifieds. I second guessed myself for months. I didn’t know it was “my” dress until after alterations and changing to fit my tastes. On the day of the wedding, I was never more sure of my decision!

I changed the back to a deep V and took all kinds of excess beading/bust trim away from the top!

I initially tried on my dress in a store. the consultant had pulled it for me. It was a complete wild card and nothing i would have picked myself, but after that i compared EVERY dress i tried on to it. Over the course of 6 months i probably tried on nearly 50-60 dresses and it was the only one that just fit me and the wedding. There was still a few things about it that werent perfect, so i had jasmines (online) make me a custom dress based off of it, with a few tweaks. Soooo happy with my decision!

I went to pretty much every store in two cities and tried on probably 100+ dresses, until I found one that I liked everything about. Until that point there was always something I’d want to change.

@melissa.geary.313:  I first saw my dress online. It was on the website from the bridal store I had an appointment with.(my only appointment) I actually showed my consultant pics of dresses I absolutely loved and some that were ok. Well my dress was one of the ones that were ok. I hated the huge bow around the waist, but if it was removable it might have been a contender. I would just have to see what it really looked like without it. So I showed her all of them and she ended up picking that one for me to try on amongst 9 others. It was the 9th one I tried on and I’m so glad I tried it even though the bow was completely hideous. It looks amazing without it. I’m a very indecisive person so I was very surprised I made a decision after only trying on 10 total! After I ordered it I had dress regret I think because I didn’t have that moment that everyone talks about or says you should have. Once my dress came in and I tried it on I knew it was the perfect dress for me! I didn’t want to take it off! Lol I had originally brought my mom, dad, brother, grandma, and FMIL and they all knew it was my dress when I first had it on before I even knew for sure. I can’t wait to wear it in 9 months!
