So I’ve been seeing this fingerprint guest book idea on pinterest a lot. I’m wondering has anybody done it? I mentioned it to my mom and she thinks it will be too messy (I said there would be wet wipes to clean up). They look super cute and would be nice to hang up in the living room after the wedding.

@PinkAndPearls2013: I’m doing one for my wedding in January. I will let you know how it turns out. Here is a photo of the custom painting I had done by a seller from ebay. I paid about $110 with shipping and this is hand painted to my specifications.

We did it! We provided our guests wet wipes and it worked out just great! They all loved it and now it hangs in our dining room. I love it! 🙂

haha, I just spent lie an hour looking through etsy at these. I love the idea in general. I think I’ve decided to get pre-printd ones where guests sign the leaves. A little less messy, so maybe no one will skip it. Here are a few I like:
This one’s cute if you want guests to do their own fingerprints. http://www.etsy.com/listing/109709919/custom-fingerprint-wedding-guest-book

I bought this one and I’m pretty pleased with how it looks, I can’t wait to see it in action! =)
I got the winter version.

I want to do a finger print guest book so badly, but it scares me that it would look empty or one sided or something. I’d have to have someone watching it all night, other wise I’d be checking on it constantly haha.
I think we’re gonna do signatures or initials or something. I don’t know. But these are so pretty. I personally love the balloon ones

@PinkAndPearls2013: There is also the option of getting a tiny leaf stamp and ink pad, that way they stamp the leaf on instead of using their fingers.

We are doing one (not until next Nov.) but are making one. A lot of the diy ones I have seen are on poster board or printed, but we are handpainting and designing our own.
I will post pictures later! It is SUPER easy, and honestly only cost us about $15. I am pretty crafty, but this was one of the easiest DIY I have done so far
