If the expiration date is 2014 and they have been stored properly (somewhere cool and dry, not in a hot car or stuck in a wallet) they are probably fine to use.

If you are secretly hoping it happens now, why not talk to your DH about moving up the timeline? As @Glasgowbound:  said, they could still be good.

@KH:  Yep, I totally agree.

When I first came off BCP, I felt like I was super vulnerable to pregnancy, when in fact, condoms are very effective at preventing pregnancy! I think it will be hard for you to hope you are pregnant each month while using condoms, since chances are they won’t fail (even if they are old).

@loveus:  Why would you use condoms if you’re trying to become pregnant? I don’t think that having sex without protection as soon as you come of the BC is an issue at all. Lost of baby dust to you!

I think they’ll be fine to use if they haven’t expired! Try talking to your DH about starting now since you never know how long it’ll take ! Haha We were originally going to try for December, but moved it to July when we heard that it might take a few months or more 🙂
