Good luck! When I had the inlaws over for turkey, I made roasted veggies in the oven while the turkey cooked - they were a huge hit!

Good luck!  I'm sure it will turn out great! :)  I'm impressed with your culinary skills.  I can rarely manage anything more complicated than scrambled eggs. ;)

Not to brag but my turkey was delicious and my inlaws were very impressed. I even made homemade gravy from the turkey juice. Don't get the wrong idea I wasnt trying to impress them ( ok a little.... but normally i don't feel the need to) At my job all the employees get free 12-15lb turkeys for christmas. So i had this one sitting in my freezer and Jon's parents live the closest. So it was nice having them over esp since we constantly go there for sunday dinner.

It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Once we got it into the oven we just had to remember to baste it. Plus now we can make turkey sandwiches for lunch this week

I love cooking turkeys. i have done our Thanksgiving turkey for 6 years or so. I think they are pretty easy and I love the left overs! Way to go, I am sure it really did impress your in laws!

Hooray for free turkey and your successful turkey roasting! I love leftover turkey sandwiches, it's one of the best things about Thanksgiving and Christmas... :)
