…..Centerpices and favors
No one will care. If I have enough flowers leftover from my bulk order for my diy bouquets, we might have some petals on the tables, but thats it.
What about you? What are you giving up in the name of saving som money?

The champagne toast! Too many people said it wouldn’t be missed, there will be unlimited wine and beer to toast with instead. Saving us about $650 + 22% service charge. Totally ok with it. 🙂

We gave up flower centerpieces, a simple candle provided by the place. No favors, ordered silk flowers, & no boutineers (spelling). I ordered a @32.00 cathedral length veil from ebay. there’s more but that’s just off the top of my head

Our phones! We have crappy pieces of junk and pay $10 a money for texting. We have saved about $5000 in the last 4 years.

@MissFlowerPot: a limo and fancy bouquets. We are having the wedding and reception in the same place so we don’t need a limo and I think the bouquets are just a waste. Will also probably skimp out on the shoes since no one will see them anyway!

We did have a wedding with 75 guests planned, but then due to a terminal illness (my father) we cancelled it all and are now eloping on our honeymoon to make it easier on everyone. Everyone person would have had to fly in. It was just too much for my side of the family. Eloping has also made it easier on us financially and less stress.
We’re still having the flowers, the cake, the fancy dinner, the dress/suit, the professional photographer – just for two now, and maybe FI’s parents.

Transportation – we all took our own cars to the venue. Darling Husband and I left the reception in a pedicab to the hotel. Loved it!
