here's my two cents...
go into a craft store and pick out flowers you want in silk version and see how they fit together. it'll give you a general idea on how they'll look together. just also remember to check with your florist on the availability of each flower during your wedding month. peonies are hard and expensive to get during certain months.

not sure what you mean by "straight" peonies and straight carnations. I am having fire and ice roses for my bouquet. It's a darker color on one side and the other side is lighter shade so that's why I clicked your post. They do have two tone carnations. If your post is just about combining peonies and carnations, as a florist to make you a sample and see if they can give you ideas that you've never thought of! Good luck!

I think a bouquet including a lush peony or two and a bunch of carnations could look great.

i'd like to discuss the possibilities of combining these two unlikely components in a lovely june bouquet.
i love the look of both straight peonies and straight carnations.
is it tasteful to mix the two.. or is it possible?
i've been rummaging for photos to no avail :(
