Looking for the right venue to have a fireplace ceremony and reception in the same place. Loving the 1920’s ballroom type style but haven’t quite found my ideal and am open to anything else. Winter wedding so obviously must be indoor. SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!!
This weekend we are checking out:
Ridley State Creek Park Mansion, Community Arts Center in Wallingford, Baldwin School & John James Audobon.

Knowlton Mansion is very pretty, but I’m not sure if they have a fireplace. Maybe worth checking out though. Same goes for Cairnwood in Bryn Athyn. Good luck!

Definitely also look at the Colonial Dames in Center City- not necessarily 1920s but it’s beautiful. We just got married in front of their downstairs fireplace, but they also have the larger ballroom upstairs and all the gardens out back.

@engine_heart:how about Warrington Country Club in Warrington? they have a fireplace and are VERY resonably priced!

Does the fireplace have to be lit/working? The Warwick ballroom has a fireplace and you can have both ceremony and reception in the ballroom. I don’t know if the fireplace works though. However, the venue is absolutely fantastic and the staff was a pleasure to work with. I cannot say enough things about them. PM if you have any questions or want any other details.
