We had fireworks at our wedding... it was really great. The down turn was one of our designated firework people had too much to drink and the tube fell over on its side and shot into our wedding tent hitting on of our guests. Luckily, no one was hurt and it's a great story.
we had fireworks at our wedding! Well let me clarify, the city set off fireworks and if you stood at the end of the lawn at our reception site you could see them. WE had no idea the city was setting them off that Saturday. It was just a normal Saturday in April....still have no clue as to why, but we were just tickled that they went off! what a treat!!
I'm actually a July 4th bride.. so we're definitely doing fireworks :-). There are two separate professional fireworks shows visible from right outside of our reception venue.

@beesknees -- How nice for you! You're coming up on your 1 year anniversary, I see. Hope married life is treating you well.
@Edamame -- Toledo! I used to live there! They did have good fireworks, from what I remember. One year we watched them from my dad's high-rise office building.
I like the Teledo talk. I remember staying with my aunt a summer and watching the fireworks. Pretty awesome.
Okay, I'll go away now since my wedding is not in July. I just had fond Teledo fireworks memories.
Aw.. I'm surprised there are members who have actually seen the Toledo display! My fiance and I have always gone downtown every year to see the fireworks, so we think it is pretty special to be watching them this year on our wedding day :-).
