I’m due in 13 days and my husband and I have our first wedding anniversary coming up shortly after that. We’ve been together for seven years, so I don’t feel the need to do anything elaborate, but I’d like to get him something to commemorate the occasion.
Obviously, I’m having a baby and won’t be able to get out to dinner or anything like that on the actual day (unless I go overdue).

I think I’m going to get my Fiance concert/sporting event tickets when our first anniversary comes. That might be too elaborate for you though… What about professional newborn pics of your baby? Or of you and your baby? I don’t know if you want to stick to ‘paper’ for your 1st anniversary gift or not, but if so then I think its a sweet idea…

@tnbellebee: Even though you might not be able to go out, have dinner in. Have a family help with the production (cooking, cleaning, set up anything) and do a romantic dinner in.
If you have a deck with furniture you can put a white table cloth down and candles. Order chinese or someplace like Boston Market, eat on the china you registered for, but never use, toast with sparkling cider, have the same bakery make you a fresh, small cake in the same flavor from your wedding and just enjoy each other. And you can eat during one of LO’s naps.

@abirdword: He would love that, but we just bought a new TV for our living room, LOL!
@adoc86: I love that idea! He mentioned the other day he would like some pictures of me for his desk at work, which I thought was so sweet.
@MrsDiddles: Great idea! Our wedding cake came from a local bakery and I was actually craving some the other day, haha!
