@realtreegal:  The first one was a bit of a disaster as he was working away and had no idea what to give me for a gift. I ended up with face products which I was allergic to! To be fair to him we’d only been together for 2 months. He made up for it on the second one though – a weekend away, a seafront hotel and a romantic proposal with a perfect ring on a deserted beach at sunset 😀

@realtreegal:  He did amazing. It was my 21st bday and althought I dont remember all the gifts he gave me I do remember the letter he wrote me….it was basically a very long letter telling me how happy he was he found me and how much he loves me.  🙂

@realtreegal:  for my first birthday with my DH, we had a house party, and DH made a ton of homemade pizza for our friends (dough, sauce all made from scratch). It was a great birthday 🙂

It was my 30th and he gave me some emerald cut amathyst and diamond earrings with a matching necklace (our birthstones combined) and took me and my family out for all you can eat steak. So yeah, he did good. 🙂

@realtreegal:  DH was awesome on my first birthday! He made salmon, shrimp, crab legs, and lobster. Then we played tennis (my favorite) relaxed in the hot tub, and watched one of my favorite movies.

We had been dating all of about 3 weeks, and I invited him to my birthday party. At a roller rink. With a ton of people he’d never met before.

He’s an introvert and he REALLY hates skating, but you would never have known from how quickly he accepted the invitation. His eagerness to be in a situation that he was basically guaranteed to hate, just to be near me, spoke volumes. It wasn’t about doing something he liked, it was about letting me do something fun and enjoy my special day. He showed me very early on that he was a generous and loving person.
