I’m a big proponent of “experience” gifts. I have a 2 year old, and we have so many clothes & toys it’s ridiculous!! I would love tickets to the zoo, museum or pool, passes to a mommy/baby class, etc. In fact, I went to a b-day party last night, and gave the kids passes to a local children’s museum. I know, though, it’s not as fun to shop for, and the kid has nothing to open, so I understand when people don’t want to go that route.

Another thing that you can’t have too many of are books & puzzles. Melissa & Doug makes some adorable wood puzzles that will last a while.

If you want something that’s more of a keepsake, but also useful, does she have a piggy bank? My son loves his, and I plan on using it to help teach him the value of money. There are adorable piggy banks all over the place that you can buy.

Sorry, I don’t feel like I’m much help, but those are the kind of gifts I like for my son to receive so that we don’t continue to overrun the house with toys!
