I think it's a good look for a winter wedding. What kind of linens are you having? What are your wedding colors?
@mcnetn3 - Thanks! Our linens are ivory tablecloths. We'll also have ivory seat covers. My wedding colors are ivory & turquoise.
Are you going for an all over white/ivory kind of look? If not, you could maybe incorporate the turquoise into the centerpieces somehow... like using turquoise ribbon on the vases or turquise colored leds with the crstals at the bottom....
I personally think the look you have is classy just the way it is, but I'm just offering up other ideas.
If your branches were taller (I can't really tell from the pic how tall they are), maybe you could hang small votives from them...
@mcnetn3 - I thought about putting a blue LED light in there to accentuate some of the turquoise, but I was afraid it would take away from it, but I think I may buy one LED light in each color and see which one I like better. The branches aren't too tall, but I'm definitely going to try and add more to it, this is just a mock trial. Thanks for your suggestions! I've got some more work to do :)
These look great!! Have you thought about placing the vase on a mirror and then putting the votive on the mirror next the the vase. The light would reflect off of it and give a really nice winter glow.
@thatelisagirl - Thanks! I plan to do that! lol I forgot to mention that. I haven't purchased everything that's going to go with it yet, I was just trying to get an idea of the branches first before I put everything together.
I can honestly say I really like these. I think you should incorporate blue in there somewhere but I get a total winter vibe from these!
@jizes318 - Thank you! I think I am going to try to find a way to incorporate blue. Do you think the blue LED light would make it look more wintery?
It's hard to tell the scale - what are the dimensions of the vase you used? About how tall are those branches? And where did you get the supplies. Looks great!
I think it looks great! I really like simple elegant centerpieces. This is a great 'winter' centerpiece without it being over the top, or Christmas-y (which I find people have a hard time staying away from).
i love it!! as you know i'm doing winter too (and we're engagement date twins! lol) and i was thinking of something similar-ish. basically just in that i want to use those kinds of branches haha. i haven't found any i like that much though... where did you find yours?
I think you should try the LEDs both ways. Sometimes colored LEDs can come across cheesy, IMO. If you are doing votives around the outside maybe you could use blue crytals in the bottom of the votive vases? Whatever you do, you are off to a good start.
I really like this! But definitely agree with everyone else that adding a little blue might help to make it 'pop' since your linens are ivory - help it stand off the table a little more. Great idea though!
@808mjm202 - The dimensions of the vase are 5inches wide & 12 inches tall and have a circumference of 16inches. I'm not sure exactly how tall the branches are. I got the supplies at hobby lobby! Thanks!!
@jennifer_epsos - Thanks! That's what I was going for, trying to avoid the holiday centerpiece and aiming for simple :)
@Corgi_Tales - Hi engagement date twin!! lol I actually bought these branches at Hobby Lobby. They were $4.99 for each section of branches. I spray painted them with an ivory paint used glitter! Thank you!
@mcnetn3 - Yeah, I think I'm just gonna toy around with a few more ideas and see how it turns out! Thanks for all your suggestions!
@stargazer- Thank you!
@rachels - I hadn't thought of that! I might try that out too :) Thanks!
This looks great! I looks like you paid a designer to do it rather than DIY (I totally mean that as a compliment). Awesome!
I say definitely use the mirror... maybe you could have a blue small ribbon on some votives? Why not get a blue LED and a white LED and post some pics! We can see which one is better... I know you don't want to take away so maybe blue wont work but lets just see to be sure!
@tynabee - Wow! Thanks so much. That's a huge compliment!
@jizes318 - I will order the LED lights and try both. I'm going to work on this a little more and I'll post new pictures soon :)
Thanks for everyone's suggestions!

Hi hive!
I've been struggling for months trying to come up with an idea for my centerpieces for my winter wedding and today I was finally successful!
Here is my first attempt. It's NOT done. I plan to add a white LED light in the middle and of course the ribbon will be on neater. Also, excuse the floor in the picture lol we're in the process of replacing the carpet.
I plan to place little votive candles around this piece.
So, let me know what you think!
