We took two-step lessons and definitely plan on incorporating what we learned into our first dance (and the rest of the dancing that night), but we're going to choreograph the first dance ourselves. It was definitely worth it. Our cost was $10 per person per lesson, so it cost us $40 per person for 4 lessons, which I thought was pretty reasonable.
Kleverkira -- That was a great price! Where did you take your lessons? I've been quoted over $100 for the first lesson!!!
My fiance and I have been taking ballroom dancing lessons from our local university ballroom dance club since September. So we've learned the East Coast Swing, Waltz, Rumba, Two Step, Tango, Cha-Cha and Fox Trot and by the end of May will have also learned the Mambo. Since it's group lessons, the price was cheaper than one-on-one sessions. Good luck and have fun!

We are thinking about taking dance lessons for a more interesting (since all eyes will be on us!) and fun first dance on our wedding day. Just wondering if anyone else out there has taken lessons, which style dance they did and if it was worth it. Any advice?
