- Wedding: May 2014 - Priestley-Savidge House
My wedding date is next week and I am semi freaking out about the “first dance”. In school David & I always went to proms and such for the food and pictures, then left to celebrate elsewhere. We can dance to upbeat/happy music yet lack some major skill in the slow dance department.
Our song is “Forever and for Always” by Shania Twain. It’s a lot more country themed that I would have liked, but the video explains it all. I’m scared that I’ll completely embarass myself or us together. We don’t know how to dance! We’re practicing this weekend, yet I can’t help but feel a sense of overwhelming anxiety because of an array of situations.
Does anyone have any tips on how to dance to a song when over 100 people are staring at you?
I’m so nervous in general about the amount of people because I have an elevated amount of anxiety to begin with, and then add several people staring at your ever move.
By the way, we attempted to get a dance instructor but failed at doing so. We waited until about a month ago and everywhere that we contacted was booked. We live in a rural area so resources are extremely naturally sparse to begin with.
Thank you in advance.
